Radiant systems: hot and cold comfort, without compromise
A radiant system — on the floor, ceiling or wall — offers maximum comfort, but only if the adjustment is up to par.
Especially in Cooling, where the risk of condensation on surfaces requires continuous and intelligent control, which a traditional thermostat cannot guarantee.
The challenge: many parameters, a single goal.

Properly managing a radiant system requires monitoring—in real time and room by room—the following:
- relative and absolute humidity
- temperature of water feed to radiant surfaces
- dehumidification and air renovation
- interaction with other devices (fancoils, mechanical ventilation, dehumidifiers, …)
Modern low-profile, low-inertia radiant systems have made installations faster and more comfortable, but they have also made control more delicate—all the more reason to rely on a system specifically designed for this purpose.
The SETECNA solution
Radiant cooling is one of the areas where SETECNA systems have been developed and refined, with a simple goal: a system that just works, ensuring absolute comfort without requiring any user intervention. Our hvac control systems — REG and regCOFFEE — along with flush-mounted room sensors, cover the entire chain: from measuring temperature and humidity in every room to managing dehumidifiers, mechanical ventilation, and manifold valves, all the way to controlling the energy sources (boilers, heat pumps).
- Flush-mounted sensors precisely detect the thermo-hygrometric parameters of each room and calculate the risk of condensation in real time, featuring a flush-mount design that has become a benchmark for architects, manufacturers, and system integrators.
- The regulation algorithms, developed and refined in years of experience in the field, prevent condensation by acting automatically on dehumidifiers, mechanical ventilation, manifold valves and thermal power plant.
- BUS Architecture connects sensors and actuators distributed over multiple rooms or floors in a simple and economical way, simplifying cabling and installation.
Not only radiant
A real system does not end at the radiant zone. Our systems also natively manage:
- Toa-ton warmer
- Thermal power plants, simple or complex
- Non-radiant or mixed areas (e.g. winter radiant, summer fancoil)
- Remote management, via App and Web
- Integration with photovoltaic systems, to make the most of the sun’s energy
