The first on-board RS485 interface is typically used to connect to the REG system peripherals: Expansions, Flush-mount Sensors and more; it can however be used for other functions if the application requires it

The second interface is normally used to communicate in ModBUS RTU with specific devices: Heat Pumps, MVHR units, Energy Meters, etc.; here too the function can be entirely defined by firmware according to your needs

An on-board opto-isolated OpenTherm interface allows communication with a condensing boiler; additional boilers can be connected via the REG port and the REG-OTG and OT4 modules
GET STARTEDINTEGRATED REG KERNEL
Inside DOT resides the entire control kernel that underpins the REG system, allowing management of radiant systems, thermal plant and air handling of any size; at least 90% (but often 100%) of the algorithms you might need is already implemented.

The firmware is already set up for multilingual management: the user can select the language and all screens adapt automatically
